Derby D230 SILICONE TUBE

Product Definition
Derby D230 tube silicone is a sealant and filler material with general purpose and singlecomponent (acetic curing) having an extensive usage area. It provides a strong adhesion to many non-porous surfaces including general construction materials.

Properties
After curing, it remains continuously flexible. Acetoxy system cures. It provides perfect adhesion to nonporous surfaces. It does not crack and go yellow, it is resistant to aging effects. It resistant to detergent, cleaning materials and chemicals. It can be applied in every season. It gives off typical acid odour in the course of curing.

The places of use
It is generally used in joints of structural elements, doorways and interfenestrations for the purpose of isolation and filling, glazing and montage works, joints of metal, glass, porcelain, steel etc. materials, applications in bathroom and kitchen, sanitary works, isolation of sockets and switches of electric materials.

Shelf life
It is 12 months for unpacked packages (+5°C and +25°C).

Warning
It is not recommended to use in porous surfaces such as marble, natural stone, concrete etc. Because acetic acid is generated in the course of curing; it should not be used in mirrors and precision metals such as copper, brass and lead. It cannot be painted. You should not use in aquarium. When it is exposed to sunlight directly, it can go yellow due to its property. Because it needs humidity so as to be cured, it should not be used in completely closed places. If you inhale vapour too much for a long time of the acetic acid generated in the course of curing, it can damage to your respiratory system. For this reason, you should pay attention to use in places with good air conditioning. Avoid from long-term contact with uncured silicone.
